Yanicke Lim Sang hails from the island of Jamaica. She has made Hawaii her home for the past 17 years, and counting. Her island is known for the cultural diversity, which explains her background of Chinese, African, and East Indian heritage. Growing up in a multicultural family, she developed a deep appreciation for diversity. Her keen eye for detail and vibrant colour palettes fuelled her passion for fashion and textile design. After earning her degree from Miami International Art University for Fashion Illustration and Design. Yanicke dedicated several years to the fashion industry, before shifting her focus to motherhood.
She gained valuable experience working as an apprentice for event planners for over a period of five years. In addition, Yanicke seized an opportunity with a record label in Miami Beach, managing concert coordination for emerging talent. With extensive expertise in event coordination and design, She founded ZENJU WEDDINGS AND EVENTS OF HAWAII, LLC IN 2010. The business, named after her two sons Zen and Jude, remains closely managed by Yanicke, reflecting her commitment and dedication to the brand.
